Join Our Wonderful Indoor Musical Walk

On the morning of Saturday, January 29 join us for a wonderful 45 minute indoor walk through the underground PATH in downtown Toronto. Come along to Allen Lambert Galleria in Brookfield Place, (formerly BCE Place, see MAP) to celebrate and help us raise $500,000 to support families dealing with Alzheimer's.

Come and tie a yellow shoelace around your finger to honour and remember those in your life who’ve been touched by Alzheimer’s… and to have fun. We'll have great entertainment, goodies and prizes for the best walkers and teams BUT best of all you get to come in a fancy dress costume of your choice - Yes, we want YOU to DRESS UP (see who turned up at Walk 2010)

 FUNDRAISING

The Online Registration and Pledging site is now open. There you can register, set up your personal page, decide on a goal and then ask everyone you know to make a pledge to you. You can do a COMBO of both online and offline by using the paper pledge form for cash and cheque donations.

The walk brochures will be mailed out the first week of November, if you haven’t walked before and want to be on the list, just contact Stuart at 416-640-6408 or slawler@alzheimertoronto.org

 FORM A TEAM

Walk 2010 had 141 Teams... Teams are a fabulous way to bring family, friends and colleagues together to honour that someone special in your life. Start asking people now….so that when October rolls around you’ll be all set to go and help raise money for this very important cause.

 FIND YOUR COSTUME FOR WALK DAY

Start digging through your wardrobe to find a zany costume, it can be anything you like, and the more outrageous the better e.g. you can come as a look-a-like (think Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball etc.), in a costume from your favourite musical era or in your national dress.  It can be anything  you like...and the more outrageous the better.     

Whether you're walking solo, with family or with a Team come DRESSED UP in a costume...and celebrate with us on Saturday, January 29, 2011.

The Manulife Wall of Memories is a place to remember and honour those touched by Alzheimer's. So please bring a photo and a story of your special someone on the day of the Walk.
