Benefits of Support Groups

The Alzheimer Society of Toronto facilitates a number of support groups for people living with dementia as well as their family caregivers and friends. By joining a support group, you will:

  • Meet and get to know others who are going through similar experiences.
  • Have the opportunity to honestly and frankly discuss topics that you may not be able to with family and friends.
  • Learn more about the disease, and how to cope and care for someone.
  • Help others who are struggling with something you may already have encountered and worked through.

If you're interested in joining a support group, please call one of our counsellors at 416-322-6560.
